National Security Language Initiative for YouthThe National Security Language Initiative for Youth (NSLI-Y) program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, provides merit-based scholarships for eligible high school students and recent high school graduates to learn less commonly taught languages in summer and academic-year overseas immersion programs.

ScholarTripsSix grand prize winners will be awarded a $2,500 scholarship to put towards their study abroad or volunteer program. 30 runners-up will receive a $50 Amazon gift card. You must be a legal U.S. resident and a student over the age of 14 from an accredited high school, trade school, university, or college
